Ffos Las 2.25 - Old Time Chaser
Nico De Boinville and Nicky Henderson team up with the lightly raced individual, OLD TIME CHASER, who should be much happier now served with a greater test of stamina. The 6-year-old made his debut for the yard in March, when plugging on the one pace on quick ground over an extended 2m3f at Ascot. He would have learnt a great deal from that experience, and can put that experience to good use stepping up to 2m6f here with some cut in the ground.
This raw sort, looks a big galloper, so the configuration of Ffos Las should be spot on for him, and after a horrid spell for the yard in March, the Seven Barrows outfit are back amongst the winners once again. Old Time Chaser gets the vote from me here and should go well.

Fakenham 4.20 - Trincomalee
TRINCOMALEE has been bubbling under since making it back from a 21-month absence, but showed at Sandown on his penultimate start that the fires still burn, and he can get back to winning ways here.
The 11-year-old hasn't matched the heights of his Hurdling exploits over the larger obstacles, but nonetheless, looks extremely well treated for this assignment considering he was rated 135 in his pomp when Hurdling, and gets to race in today's marathon Chase off a mark of 114. The veteran has shaped as though a crack at an extreme distance will suit, and he could easily get involved with Dylan Whelan on board taking off 7lbs.

Southwell 5.12 - Ernest Gray
I think this can go the way of ERNEST GRAY, who looked like a character galvanised by the application of a first-time visor at Doncaster last time out, when beaten just a length. Naturally if the headgear has the same effect once again, then he has to be a major player here for the Alan King team.
He is still unexposed as a Chaser, and is a previous course and distance winner, so we know that this venue holds no fears. In regards to underfoot requirements, he looks versatile on that front, having won on a sound surface, and also with plenty of cut on the ground. Tom Cannon takes the ride and the combination look to have leading claims.

Hereford 7.00 - My Chiquita
MY CHIQUITA is unbeaten over Hurdles, and the Mare can extend the winning sequence now heading into Handicap company for the first time. She won minor events at Sedgefield and Wetherby last Autumn in good style, and should be tuned-up returning to Hurdles, after a spin on the all-weather at Southwell in March.
An opening mark of 115 could easily underestimate her potential now delving into the Handicap ranks here. Ben Brookhouse has booked the services of Brian Hughes for this encounter, and her raw class can make the difference here where she is open to any amount of improvement.
